A key goal was to help researchers secure funding support from the DA-Biotech Program Office (DA-BPO) and other agencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the first day, <b>Dr. Marvin A. Villanueva<\/b>, Center Chief of the DA-LBC, and his team provided a comprehensive overview of the R&amp;D initiatives at DA-PCC. They highlighted the agency&#8217;s key research priorities, particularly in <b>livestock biotechnology<\/b>, and introduced proposal templates to help participants craft strong, relevant research proposals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following day, ASCOT faculty researchers toured the <b>National Livestock Cryobank<\/b>, the <b>DNA Sequencing Facility<\/b>, and the <b>PCC Gene Pool<\/b>. This hands-on experience provided valuable context for the research proposals being developed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop concluded successfully with the ASCOT faculty researchers developing a new research proposal.
